Amanda Glanville: Maker of Tiny Glass Stuff
Amanda is on a mission to reclaim the kitschness of 'little glass animals' and reinvent them as fun, affordable objects for 21st Century Collectors.
A well-known face on the Designer Maker craft fair circuit she has, over 25 years in business supplied independent craft galleries, selected shops and has been commissioned to make short-run themed pieces for Art Galleries, Museums and charities as well as far too many commissions to count.
Her work is entirely designed and melted by her using the lamp work (flame work) method of glass making and is turned into freestanding pieces, hanging ornaments (she makes an annual Great Glass Advent Calendar), miniature pictures, garden decorations and jewellery.
She is happy to discuss options for stocking her work, exclusives, and including regional 'special' designs with galleries and shops. Due to the wide appeal of her work, she has many people approach her with ideas, some of which she turns down. She will be politely honest if she feels her work isn't right for you or that your shop or gallery isn't right for her!
