With a background from dance, I have learnt approach art with the same ideas. To move is to paint space with your body, and to paint is to dance with colour and shapes. I aim to create art that looks like how it feels to make, bringing attention to the creative process as opposed to the finished product.
After studying at the National Centre for Circus Arts developing my physical, performative and creative practices, I discovered dancing with paint. I perform live creating large-scale artworks on canvas sheet on the floor/wall combining movement, acrobatics and even juggling with paint. Here dance and art no longer become separate but one.
Movement is the source of my creative approach, driven by my connection to art, exploded into limitless possibilities by my experience of circus.
