Author: Michele Daykin
Michele is a contemporary jeweller based on the Fife coast. She combines silver and her own batiked fabric.
Her work is inspired by the urban environment of Scottish cities; marks and shapes found on walls, pavements and surfaces. Her colour palette is drawn from the same source.
All of her work is formed by hand and with the combination of the unique batiked fabric, each piece has its own individuality. Even earrings are made as individual pieces and paired up to complement each other.
The collection includes a range of wearable pieces, earrings, pendants cufflinks and brooches. Michele's use of a limited palette of colours complements both the satin and oxidised finished silver.
