Spending time between the beautiful Kentmere valley and my Green Door studio in Kendal, my multiplate lino prints are inspired by stories of history and folklore from a time when we were more in tune with nature, the landscape and the weather. I combine these ideas with drawings of plants, animals and birds to create prints with layers of colour, pattern, and intricate illustrative detail. I studied textile design at Central St Martins and worked in industry before running my freelance business as an artist and creative practitioner in the East Midlands before recently moving to Cumbria. I have exhibited with Green Door artists and Cumbrian Printmakers and in 2020 won the Upfront Gallery Print Prize.
