I have been working as a linocut artist for over seven years now, after a 30 year career in the textiles and clothing industry. Following a redundancy in 2016, I decided to go full time as an artist, so here I am! Making prints, participating in many fairs and exhibitions, and delivering workshops in my studio and with community groups. My main focus is creating 'reduction' linocut prints, and this is the method I have used for nearly all my work. The absolute decision making required for each layer is in turns exciting and petrifying, but all part of the wonderful process of printmaking!
