Hawkhill Hotworks/Lisa K. Badger
Description
I have combined my knowledge of colour, light, illustration and form to make recognizably distinctive, whimsical and technically difficult fused glass objects and 2/D works, some of which are incorporated in popular wrought iron furniture pieces by Hawkhill Hotworks. I strive to impart a sense of movement and organic energy in my creations, and always seek to move forward with my ideas. Many of my influences involve the movement of organic forms suspended, from swimming Koi to microscopic life. I also enjoy playing with depicting textile ideas in glass.
My work has been featured as half of Hawkhill Hotworks (w/ partner Colin Badger) in many events around the UK, including 12+ years at Craft in Focus, RHS Garden shows and The Royal Highland Show. My work has appeared at the Henley Arts Trail and Angus Arts Fund, and I was resident glass artist at Aberfeldy Gallery for over 10 years until their retirement.

We bought a fused glass coffee table over 10 years ago when they were displaying at a craft fair near Canterbury, Kent. It was totally different to anything we had seen before. We loved it then and we still love it all these years later. It really is a beautiful, quality product.
We have just asked the Badgers for a quote to make a mirror for our shower room.
