Little Green Studio

Libby Daniels is a ceramicist and member of the Southern Ceramics Group and London Potters, working from her home studio in Haslemere, making functional and decorative pieces and teaching classes. Having studied at Staffordshire university she then had a long career as an Art teacher before setting up The Little Green Studio in 2018

Her work includes thrown and altered abstract vessels, jugs, vases, bowls and bottles with motifs of leaves, flowers and birds. Inspiration comes from the natural environment, pebbles, textile designs, found objects and photographs taken on walks.

Pieces are slab formed or thrown on the wheel using white earthenware clay. Impressed patterns created from hand-made clay stamps decorate the exterior. The pots are bright, visually appealing and tactile with colourful smooth surfaces finished in glossy or matt, earthenware glazes.

One-off abstract vessels are formed by manipulating the thrown pots and adding coiled rims, cut and finished with precise edges.  Commissions are welcomed.
