Description
Margate, Kent artist inspired by the ever changing coastal light and weather . A painter since childhood with a year at art college in USA then self taught . Portraits are a specialism and I completed 14 free portraits for NHS heroes during the Covid crisis and was featured on BBC Southeast Today . In 2019 a painting of the Margate Sea shelter made famous by TS Eliot, who wrote the Wasteland there, was shortlisted for the Turner Fringe Prize, judged by Tracy Emin . Exhibitions include The Pie Factory , Margate, Lovely’s and Westgate Galleria . There will be a portrait exhibition at Brick Lane Gallery in May 2021.
