Rachel Hall Jewellery
Description
My first foray into jewellery-making was at school when my metalwork teacher taught me a number of basic silversmithing techniques. I pursued a different career, training and working for many years as a landscape designer. I rediscovered my passion for jewellery-making 13 years ago. My love of botany, colour, texture and organic form is still my major influence and can be found in much of my work.
I use many different techniques including piercing, smithing, texturing, soldering, stone-setting, etching, wax-carving, cuttlefish & sand casting, gold fusing and fold-forming.
My gemstones are sourced from local suppliers with good ethical credentials and I use only recycled sterling silver and gold, and re-use the offcuts, and filings I create.
Each item is hallmarked with my own unique registered sponsors mark and those of the London Assay Office.
All of my work is unique or limited-edition pieces. Although best known for my statement necklaces, I make many smaller, everyday pieces too. My range includes necklaces, pendants, bracelets, bangles, rings, earrings, cufflinks and my latest edition brooches.
I am also happy to work on commissions.
